Purchase Reports
OutSmart has three Purchase Reports for what you’ve ordered from distributors and what you’ve paid:

| Purchase Order Summary | One row per purchase order — what was ordered, from whom, when, and at what total |
| Purchase Invoice Summary | One row per purchase invoice — what your distributor billed you, when, and for how much |
| Purchase Invoice Tax | One row per purchase invoice, focused on the tax totals you paid |
All three are transaction-level reports — one row per purchase order or purchase invoice, not per item on it. To see item-level detail, open the individual PO or PI from the dispensary.
All three are accessed from the Reports page in the Main Navigation Menu under the Financial Reports category. See Reporting Overview for the general workflow.
Shared Filter Options
All three Purchase Reports use the same filter set:
- Start Date — return purchase orders or invoices dated on or after this date. Leave blank to include everything from the very first one in your account.
- End Date — return purchase orders or invoices dated on or before this date. Leave blank to include everything up to the latest.
- Filter by Distributor — restrict to one or more distributors.
- Group By — group results by date, distributor, or other available fields. Check Only Show Totals to collapse the groups to subtotals and hide individual rows.
- Columns and Column Order — drag and drop to reorder, click × to remove a column, click the empty space to the right of the last column to add one.
Purchase Order Summary
A row per purchase order. Use this when you need to see what you’ve ordered over a period, totals per distributor, or to spot orders that haven’t been turned into invoices yet.
The column choices include the PO date, distributor, PO total, and status. Group by distributor with Only Show Totals checked to see how much you’ve ordered from each supplier over the date range.
Purchase Invoice Summary
A row per purchase invoice. Use this when you need to see what your distributors have actually billed you (which can differ from the PO if quantities or prices were adjusted on receipt) and when each invoice arrived.
Group by distributor with Only Show Totals for monthly distributor totals.
Purchase Invoice Tax
A row per purchase invoice, with the tax columns surfaced. Use this when you need to total the tax paid on purchases for an accounting period.
This is an invoice-level report — it shows the total tax per invoice, not which items on the invoice were taxed at which rate. Open the individual purchase invoice in the dispensary if you need the per-item tax breakdown.
