Settings Overview

Accessing Settings

All booking settings are found in the Settings dropdown:

  1. Log in with administrator permissions
  2. Visit your booking page in edit mode
  3. Click the gear icon in the header
  4. The settings dropdown opens

Settings Persistence

Settings are saved automatically when changed:

  • No “Save” button needed for most settings
  • Toggles save instantly
  • Color changes apply immediately
  • Modal forms save on button click

Key Booking Flow Settings

Account Panel

Controls whether patients must log in or create an account:

Settings Dependencies

Some settings interact with others:

SmartForms + Account

When a service has intake forms attached:

  • Account panel is forced on
  • Skip option is hidden
  • Patients must log in to complete booking

Questionnaire + Custom Questions

When questionnaire is enabled:

  • Default question shows if no custom questions
  • Custom questions replace the default
  • Up to 5 custom questions allowed

Best Practices

Start Simple

Begin with minimal settings:

  • Leave account panel off for easy booking
  • Skip questionnaire if not needed
  • Add complexity as needed

Consider Patient Experience

Each enabled step adds friction:

  • More steps = longer booking time
  • Balance information needs vs. conversion
  • Test the flow yourself

Regular Review

Periodically check settings:

  • Are they still appropriate?
  • Has anything changed in your practice?
  • Are patients completing bookings?

Troubleshooting

Setting Not Saving

  • Check your internet connection
  • Refresh the page
  • Try the setting again
  • Look for error messages

Setting Doesn’t Appear

  • Verify you’re logged in with correct permissions
  • Some settings are mode-specific
  • Check if you’re on the right page

Setting Has No Effect

  • Refresh the page after changing
  • Clear browser cache
  • Check for override conditions (e.g., SmartForms)
