When you are logged in as a practitioner, you can print your own schedule with your chosen preferences. If you are an Admin user, you can select a specific practitioner’s schedule to print or print a single schedule that includes all events for all practitioners at your clinic. This option is available in a drop-down list on both the Daily Schedule Dashboard card and the printout page.

Main Sections of the Printout

The Daily Schedule printout has three main sections:

  1. The Practitioner Selection Drop-down: Visible only to Admin accounts, this allows for quick switching between practitioner schedules or printing a combined schedule for the entire clinic.
  2. The Print Options Area: This is where you can configure the display preferences. These preferences are automatically saved to your account.
  3. The Daily Schedule Area: This section displays your scheduled events, descriptions, and notes. By default, it will only show the current day’s events. Recurring events are noted with the phrase “Recurring event” below the time.

Both Admin and Practitioner accounts have the following preferences available:

  • Display non-patient events: This allows you to choose whether or not to include non-patient events like lunch breaks or office meetings on your schedule.
  • Display Client Workspace notes: This option enables you to show specific notes from the Patient Workspace alongside your scheduled events.

Using Workspace Notes with Your Daily Schedule

Workspace notes can be an incredibly useful tool when used consistently with the daily schedule. The printout allows you to specify which notes to include by filtering them with labels.

For example, if you select “Calendar Alert” as a label in the print options, all notes with that label will appear next to the corresponding patients on your schedule. You can select multiple labels to broaden the scope of the notes displayed.

Here are a few tips for effective use of notes and labels:

  • Use the Calendar Alert label: This label is available in every account and is a natural choice to be included in the printout.
  • Consider “Emergency Alert” and “Medical Alert”: If you perform high-risk treatments, having this emergency information handy could be very helpful.
  • Avoid using too many labels: Selecting too many labels can clutter your schedule with excessive information. Try to limit yourself to two or three.

Removing Labels from Notes

The printout also provides a convenient way to manage your notes. Before printing, you can review the displayed notes. If a note is no longer relevant, you can simply click to remove the label associated with it. This will remove the note from the schedule without deleting the note itself. This is a useful process for “grooming” your notes and keeping your schedule clean and relevant.

How do I remove a label from a note on the daily schedule printout - shows the 'Remove Label' button next to a note on the daily schedule printout.

You can remove a label associated with a note if you are the author
of that note, if the note was added by Admin staff,
or you are logged into an Admin account.

Label removal rules:

  • Admin Staff: Can remove any labels added by any practitioner at their clinic.
  • Practitioners: Can remove any labels they themselves added or that were added by Admin staff. They cannot remove labels added by other practitioners.
