Two Types of Practitioner Photos

Personal Profile Photo

  • Controlled by the practitioner themselves
  • Used as the default everywhere
  • Uploaded from the practitioner’s own booking page

Office Override Photo

  • Controlled by office administrators
  • Overrides the personal photo on that office’s page only
  • Useful for consistent team styling

When displaying a practitioner’s photo:

Managing Personal Photos

Who Can Edit

Only the practitioner themselves can edit their personal photo.

How to Upload

  1. Log in as the practitioner
  2. Visit your practitioner booking page
  3. Hover over your photo in the hero card
  4. Click the camera icon
  5. Select a photo from your computer
  6. Crop to square (1:1 aspect ratio)
  7. Click Save Image

Managing Office Override Photos

Who Can Edit

Only office administrators can set override photos.

How to Upload

  1. Log in as an office administrator
  2. Visit your office booking page
  3. Navigate to the “Our Team” tab
  4. Find the practitioner’s card
  5. Hover over their photo
  6. Click the camera icon
  7. Select a photo from your computer
  8. Crop to square
  9. Click Save Image

Removing an Override

  1. Click the camera icon on the practitioner’s photo
  2. Find the Remove option
  3. Click to remove the override
  4. The practitioner’s personal photo will show instead

When to Use Overrides

Consistent Team Styling

If you want all practitioner photos to have:

  • Same background color
  • Similar lighting and composition
  • Matching professional style

Brand Control

When the office needs to:

  • Maintain visual consistency
  • Update photos without practitioner access
  • Use professionally shot team photos

Temporary Situations

For situations like:

  • Practitioners who haven’t uploaded photos yet
  • Placeholder during onboarding
  • Quick fixes for photo issues

Photo Best Practices

Headshot Guidelines

Do:

  • Use a professional headshot
  • Face the camera directly
  • Use good, even lighting
  • Choose a neutral background
  • Dress professionally
  • Smile naturally

Don’t:

  • Use casual selfies
  • Include other people
  • Use busy backgrounds
  • Upload blurry or dark images
  • Crop too tightly

Resolution

  • Upload the highest quality available
  • At least 400 x 400 pixels
  • Higher resolution scales better

Consistency Across Team

For office pages:

  • Consider scheduling a team photo session
  • Use the same photographer and setup
  • Maintain similar backgrounds and lighting

Troubleshooting

Photo Looks Blurry

  • Original may be too small
  • Upload higher resolution image
  • Don’t crop too tightly before upload

Camera Icon Not Appearing

For personal photos:

  • Must be logged in as the practitioner
  • Must be on your practitioner priority page

For overrides:

  • Must be logged in as office admin
  • Must be on the office booking page
  • Look in the Team tab

Override Not Saving

  • Wait for upload to complete
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try a smaller file size

Wrong Photo Showing

Check priority:

  1. Is there an office override? (Admin controls this)
  2. Is there a personal photo? (Practitioner controls this)
  3. Placeholder shows if neither exists

Removing Photos

Remove Personal Photo

  1. Log in as the practitioner
  2. Visit your booking page
  3. Click camera icon on your photo
  4. Click Remove
  5. Placeholder will display

Remove Office Override

  1. Log in as office admin
  2. Visit office booking page
  3. Find practitioner in Team tab
  4. Click camera icon
  5. Click Remove
  6. Personal photo or placeholder will display
