Contact Display
Display Contact Override
For practitioner priority pages, practitioners can show different contact information than their actual contact record.

|---|---|
| Display Phone | Phone number shown to patients |
| Display Email | Email address shown to patients |
Why Use Display Overrides?
Separate Business from Personal
| Scenario | Solution |

| Main email is personal, want booking inquiries separate | Enter booking email in Display Email |
| Multiple locations, want location-specific contact | Enter location number |

Office vs. Practitioner Contact
Office Priority Mode
Contact info comes from the office record:
- Office phone from
tofficecontacts - Office email from
tofficecontacts - Edited via office profile editor
Practitioner Priority Mode
Contact info uses display override system:
- Display Phone preference (if set)
- Falls back to practitioner’s contact record
- Display Email preference (if set)
- Falls back to practitioner’s contact record
Editing Office Contact
For office priority pages, contact info is edited through the office profile:
-
Log in as office administrator
-
Visit the office booking page
-
Click the pencil icon on the office card
-
Edit Phone and Email fields
-
Click Save
Office contact edits change the actual office record in OutSmart, not a display override.
Best Practices
Use Monitored Lines
- Display a number that’s regularly answered
- Use a phone that forwards to the right person
- Consider a dedicated booking line
Professional Email
- Use a professional domain email
- Consider booking@yourclinic.com
- Ensure it’s monitored for inquiries
Consistency
- Use the same contact across marketing materials
- Update if your contact info changes
- Test that the numbers/emails work
Troubleshooting
Contact Info Not Updating
- Verify you saved the changes
- Refresh the page
- Check if you edited the right field
Wrong Contact Showing
For practitioners:
- Check Display Phone/Email fields
- Empty = uses actual contact
- Value = uses that value
For offices:
- Edit via office profile editor
- Changes affect the actual record
Contact Not Clickable
Phone/email links should be tappable:
- Phone opens dialer on mobile
- Email opens email client
- Verify format is correct (no typos)
