clinicnameYou can paste either the full URL or just the handle - the system handles both!
Choosing Which Platforms to Display
Selecting Platforms
- Enter handles for as many platforms as you want
- Check the box next to each platform to include in display
- A counter shows how many you’ve selected (e.g., “2/3 platforms selected”)
- Fourth checkbox is disabled when 3 are already selected
Considerations
Prioritize platforms where you’re most active:
- Regular posting schedule
- Engaged audience
- Professional content
Platform recommendations by practice type:
| Practice Type | Recommended Platforms |
|---|---|
| Medical clinic | Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn |
| Wellness/Spa | Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest |
| Individual practitioner | LinkedIn, Instagram, X |
| Youth-focused | Instagram, TikTok, YouTube |
Office vs. Practitioner Social Media
Office Priority Mode
- Shows the office’s social media links
- Only office administrators can edit
- Represents the clinic/organization
Practitioner Priority Mode
- Shows the practitioner’s personal social media
- Only the practitioner can edit
- Represents their professional brand
Practitioner Social Media on Office Pages
Office administrators can choose whether to show practitioner social media on the office booking page using the Allow Practitioner Social Media toggle in settings.
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Enabled (default) | Practitioner cards show their social icons |
| Disabled | Practitioner cards hide social icons |
Security Note
For security, only handles are stored - not full URLs. This prevents:
- Malicious link injection
- URL manipulation
- Phishing attacks
Links are constructed at display time using hardcoded URL patterns for each platform.
Troubleshooting
Icons Not Appearing
- Ensure at least one handle is entered
- Check that the platform is selected (checkbox)
- Verify you clicked Save after editing
Wrong Link Opening
- Verify the handle is entered correctly
- Don’t include the @ symbol (it’s added automatically where needed)
- Remove any spaces from the handle
Can’t Select More Platforms
- Maximum 3 platforms can be displayed
- Uncheck one to enable another
- You can save all handles and change selections later
Can’t Find Edit Icon
- Ensure you’re logged in with edit permissions
- Look for the pencil icon near the social icons in the hero card
Best Practices
Professional Profiles
Before linking your social profiles, ensure they:
- Have professional content
- Are regularly updated
- Represent your practice well
- Don’t contain inappropriate material
Consistent Branding
- Use the same handle across platforms when possible
- Maintain consistent profile photos
- Keep bios professional and up-to-date
Active Engagement
Only link to profiles where you’re active:
- Inactive profiles look unprofessional
- Empty pages disappoint visitors
- Better to have fewer, active platforms
