Online Booking V1 (Legacy)
The articles in this section cover the original online booking system in OutSmart EMR. This is the older system — most clinics use the current online booking system, which has more features and a more customizable booking page.
If you’re setting up online booking for the first time, or you want to know what the current system can do, start with Online Booking instead.
The V1 documentation here exists for clinics that are still using the original system and want a reference for how its specific settings work.
What’s Different About V1
The current online booking system gives each office (and each practitioner) their own bookable page with its own customization — colors, hero image, profile photos, service descriptions, waitlist, marketing tracking, and a great deal more. Most settings live in the booking page editor itself.
The V1 system uses a single set of personal and office booking URLs configured through an Online Booking Options panel in the calendar settings menu. Customization is more limited.
What Still Applies to Both V1 and V2
Several setup pieces are shared between V1 and the current system. These are documented in their natural homes elsewhere in the guide:
