Smartforms for collaborative environments

When working in a collaborative environment, sharing Smartforms can help save time, promote consistency between practitioners and clinics, and allow key practitioners and staff access to critical information.  Smartform sharing not only allows practitioners to share patient questionnaire responses with others within a single clinic, but also practitioners external to the clinic.

The Smartform sharing model can even help standardize questionnaires for research purposes and allow collaborative investigations by practitioners anywhere in the world.

How to share SmartForms

SmartForm sharing settings are located within the SmartForm editing interface.  There are a number of sharing options available:

• Sharing a SmartForm with a practitioner: This allows a practitioner in your office, or in any other office, to administer your SmartForm to their own patients.  Essentially it allows you to share your SmartForm Template with them.  This option alone does not share patient submissions of this SmartForm – Only the template.
• Sharing a SmartForm with an office: This allows you to share your SmartForm Template with any other practitioner currently part of the ofice you specify.  If anyone were to leave the specified office, they would lose access to your SmartForm Template.
• Do you want to see all submissions of this form? This option allows you, the SmartForm template author, to see ALL patient submissions of this form, even if they are not your own patients.  This is useful if you are conducting a research study and need access to seeing all the results of every submission.
• Do you want other practitioners to see all submissions?  This option allows you to choose whether or not the practitioners you have shared this SmartForm with have the ability to see ALL patient submissions of this SmartForm, regardless of whether or not they are their own patients.  This is useful if you are conducting a collaborative research project where all practitioners are sharing SmartForm submissions equally.
