Why is my product inventory count not accurate?

OutSmart inventory counts are live calculations that are performed based on Sales, Returns, Purchase Orders and Adjustments.  These four types of Inventory Transactions are used to calculate your product’s inventory in real-time.

If you find that your inventory count seems inaccurate, you can take a look at the Inventory Transaction History for a specific product, to get a better understanding of what Inventory Transactions are contributing to the current product’s inventory level.  This can usually help shed some light as to what the issue might be.

  1. Go to the Dispensary involved.
  2. Click on the “Product” menu at the top.
  3. Click on “Product List” to view your product list.
  4. Find the product you want to investigate, and then click on the “Edit” icon at the right of the product.  This will take you to the Product Details Page.
  5. In the Product Details page, on the right side of the screen, scroll down until you see the Transactions list.  This is where you can examine your product Inventory Transactions.

Alternately, if you’d like to review adjustments for multiple products at at time, you can use the Inventory Adjustments Report.
