Booking Trends Dashboard Card

Schedule Trends Analysis

The purpose of the Booking Trends card is to graph out trends that you may be interested in viewing or comparing.  The graph that is displayed in the Booking Trends card uses data from the OutSmart Calendar, so a pre-requisite for this card to function is that your calendar be used to book in your patient appointments.

When you initially add the card to your dashboard, no data will be graphed.  You will need to configure the card and tell it which events and practitioners you are interested in.  Your account type will determine the scope of the events and practitioners that you can view in your graph.

  • Admin Accounts will be able to graph data pertaining to all events and all practitioners.
  • Clinic Owners (Practitioner accounts that have created an office in OutSmart) will be able to graph their own events as well as all events of invited practitioners.
  • Practitioners invited to join an existing office/clinic in OutSmart will only be able to graph their own patient events.

Configuring the Booking Trends Card

To start the card configuration, click on the  Card Settings button at the top right of the card.  This will slide down the Configuration Settings panel for the card.

Here are the settings you can configure for the Booking Trends card:

  • Graph Intervals: This setting determines whether to show your data grouped by day, by week, or by month.
  • Graph Values: This setting determines whether you want to graph each Event Type separately (By Events), each Event Types total hours separately (By Hours), or add up all the selected Event Types and graph the total hours (By Total Hours).
  • Time Range: The time range drop-down allows you to select various preset time ranges, like this week, this month, this year, last week, +/- one week from today, etc.  You also have a custom option available where you can set your own time frame for the graph.
  • Scope: Depending your your account type, you may only be able to set the scope to your own events, but if you have an admin account, you can set the scope of events to span across multiple practitioners.
  • Events to Include: Once you have set the Scope above, you will then be able to select which events to pull data from.  You will have to select events for each practitioner individually, and only the events selected in this section of the settings will be graphed on the Booking Trends card.

Once you are done configuring your settings, click on the Submit button at the bottom, and the data will be graphed on the Booking Trends card.  You can keep fine-tuning your configuration until you have the data you want to see.  The card will retain your settings, so you will not have to configure it again.

You can also add multiple Booking Trends cards to your dashboard, and configure each one individually.

If you delete a booking trends card from your Dashboard, the configuration of that card is also deleted. and you cannot recover it.  If you add the card again, you will have to reconfigure it again.
