Printing Product Labels

There are 2 main ways in which to print a product label.  Using the Product Label Dashboard Card, and using your SOAP charts to make a product recommendation.

Using the Product Label Dashboard Card will allow you to create Product Labels on the fly, without the requirement for a corresponding medical chart note for the patient.  This is useful if you need to dispense products based on previous medical charts that were not imported into Outsmart.

Using SOAP charts to make a product recommendation will simply the process of producing a product label that is printable by both practitioner and admin staff.  Once you create a product recommendation in your SOAP chart, you can then print a label for that product from the Patient/Client Workspace, or from the XpressCheckout Dashboard Card (if the SOAP chart was created on the same day).

Printing a product label from the Patient Workspace

To print a product label from the Patient Workspace, first access the Patient Workspace for one of your clients.  Once there, you can see all the currently active product recommendations in the Medical Summary tab.  Look for the product recommendation that you want to print, and then click on the Print icon to produce a product label for that recommended product.

Printing a product label from the XpressCheckout Dashboard Card.

To print a product label from the XpressCheckout Dashboard Card, the SOAP chart for that patient must have been created on the current day.  The XpressCheckout system will only show patients and charts that were created on the current day.  So this method is most useful for printing product labels immediately after a patient has had their appointment.

In the XpressCheckout Dashboard Card, find the patient and click on their name to expand options for that patient.  You will then see all products that were recommended to the patient today.  Click on the menu button to the left of the product recommendation, and then select Print.
