Release Notes – May 4th, 2026

Waitlist System — Now Available

The Waitlist system we previewed in our last release is here. It’s a full-featured tool for tracking patients who are waiting for an appointment and matching them quickly when openings appear. Highlights include:

• Dashboard card with sort-by-bookability, pagination, and Active / Aging / Expired tabs so the most actionable entries surface first
• Filter panel with multi-select appointment-type filtering, practitioner filtering, and secure search across the whole office
• Add / Edit modal with a full-office patient lookup
• Multiple notify methods (email, SMS, phone) per entry, with patient contact info shown right on the card
• One-click Notify that sends an email and/or SMS with a fully audited activity log
• Book directly from the waitlist via “Book” or “Book + Send Confirmation” — no need to jump to the calendar

Find Availability: Smart Slot Finder

Paired with the Waitlist is the new Find Availability tool, accessible from the calendar toolbar. Pick a date range, appointment type, and practitioner, and it returns a clean days × times table of the next 20+ open slots

Selecting a slot navigates the calendar to that date and pre-fills the event creation panel with the proper appointment type and duration, ready to confirm. It also bridges directly with the waitlist, so if you cannot find an appointment slot for a patient, you can seamlessly add them to the waitlist.

Online Booking V2

Online Booking V2 received a significant stability and updates over the last four months, and is now available for everyone to use

• This will not replace the current online booking system, so you have the flexibility to create your new booking page at your leisure and launch when you are ready.

MFA & Security

Improved the “Remember for 30 days” to include multiple accounts on the same device. You should be prompted less for the MFA code now.

Google Calendar Integration

Google Calendar integration has been restored, you can now link your Google calendar with your OutSmart calendar. Just go to your account profile page and you will find the settings under the “Remote Connections” tab.

Reporting

New Prescription Report has been added to allow you to run reports on your prescriptions and product recommendations

Coming Soon

• Customizable Intake Forms: A new system of customizable intake forms will be released this month, which are not connected to the patient portal. No logins, no passwords, no codes.
• Lab Analysis Tool: Initial testing phase is completed and we will be releasing this feature this month.
• Update to the AI Patient Referral tool: To expand its capabilities for a wider variety of summaries and letters.
• HealthScribe Integration: Initial release of AI voice charting to be released this month
• Waitlist: addition to Online Booking V2 happening this week.
